Pat Ferrendelli VIEW PROFILE

Pat Ferrendelli (83) passed away peacefully on Palm Sunday (April 10, 2022) at home in Tustin, CA. Pat was born in Trinidad, CO to Nash Ferrendelli and Helen Musso, and lived in Las Vegas, from the time he was five until age 78. He then relocated to California to be closer to his children. Pat was part of the "old-school" Vegas, attending St. Joseph's grade school and graduating from Las Vegas High School in 1956, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Linda Cooper. They were married for 31 years and she preceded him in death in 2017. Following high school, Pat served in the U.S. Navy with two consecutive tours on the USS Kitty Hawk followed by a brief stint in banking. He then began a long and successful career in the Las Vegas casino industry at the iconic Caesar's Palace. Over a period of 40 years, he would go on to work at several of the marquis casinos, making his mark at the Aladdin, MGM, and the Stardust. Pat had a mischievous sense of humor and a larger-than-life personality. He was known for both his loud, gruff voice and his engaging charm. It was this unique combination of qualities that made him instantly likable and intimidating at the same time. Deep down, Pat was kind and caring and his love of family was paramount. Perhaps his best accomplishment was being an amazing father. Pat lived his life on his terms. He frequently enjoyed a good red beer or glass of brandy at the local watering hole, followed by a smoke or two. He loved an NCIS marathon and classic shows like Vegas and A-Team. He took enormous pride in making his famous spaghetti sauce for family and friends, and even with waning health, insisted on doing most of the cooking. And he always, always spoke his mind. He is survived by his brother, Mike Ferrendelli; and his children, Lisa Geherin (Dan), Laura Thompson (Brian), TIna Brunel (John) and Mark Ferrendelli. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Perri, Andi, Sarah, Sophie, Gino and Maxine, and one great-grandson, Carter, all whom he loved very much. He is preceded in death by his sister, Rene Goldwasser. Pat was a wonderful father, brother and friend. He will forever inspire us and have a special place in our hearts. A memorial service celebrating his life will be at 2 pm Fri., June 3, at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church with reception to follow at 10017 Crescent Mesa Lane, Las Vegas 89145.  Condolences may be sent to Pat's family at 22226 Brookline, Mission Viejo CA 92692.
