Welcome!!!

It's here, it's now, our 20th High School Reunion!  We have been a powerful force and are continuing to be a key influence in our changing world.

Our generation has made major changes to the world, the effects of which are still evolving, and 2000 was a milestone year.

It's 20 years later but we are still the same kids, but without the hang-ups or competitions, the insecurities or cliques.  This reunion we come together as a group of folks who share a common experience, who journeyed together during a time when we thought we knew it all, when we were full of optimisim, rebelliousness, playfulness, and angst.  This reunion we share our memories, mourn those who left us way too early, and reconnect with each other.  This reunion, we celebrate us - The Chaparral High School Class of 2000!

What was it we were doing before we took a 20-year break to have a life? Actually, it was an important time while we were shaping our future selves.  

What were those decisions we made, seemingly so unimportant, but sending us in one direction or another, and eventually turning us into who we are today?  We know each other in a way that nobody else in the world knows us, because we knew each other when we weren't whatever we worked so hard to become.

We are the only people who knew you before you became a father or a mother, we are the people who knew you before you had a profession or a career, we knew you when you were still young and beginning the process of self-discovery.  In some ways we see each other more clearly than our best friends of the last 20 years.

And that is why our classmates are absolutely irreplaceable in our lives, as we are in theirs.  We have something in common, a unique time and shared experience.
