
January 31, 1966 - January 31, 2008. Cause: Myelitis (a rare form of cancer) Lynne A. Patterson Winston-Salem, N.C. Lynne A. Patterson, 42, of Winston-Salem, N.C., died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Lynne was a dedicated and loving daughter, sister and friend. She was born Jan. 31, 1966, in Winchester, Va., a daughter of Donald L. and Rebecca Lynn Patterson, of Greensburg. She was a graduate of Greater Latrobe Area High School and a member of Paramount Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Md. She earned a dual bachelor's degree in environmental health and industrial hygiene at East Carolina University. She worked for 10 years as an environmental health specialist for Forsyth County, N.C. In addition to her parents, Lynne is survived by a brother, Brent L. Patterson and wife, Kristie, of Warrington, Pa. She was the loving aunt of Cole and Jacquelyn. There will be no public visitation or services. Should friends desire, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to the Transverse Myelitis Association, 10105 167th Place NE, Redmond, WA 98052-3125 (www.myelitis.org), or to a charity of one's choice.
