Buddy was a pilot in the US Air Force and upon retirement from the service, flew commercial jets. He retired and worked for the Newnan Ga Public Utilities in Newnan, GA.  He was from Rocky Mount , NC and attended St Andrews on the prestigeous Vardell Scholarship.  He was married to Carol Eckl, a 1966 SA graduate.
