Jim Stedman was a rare book dealer in Greensboro, NC He passed away while awaiting a Kidney transplant, after undergoing constant dialysis for several years. He was a rare individual and if he was your friend, he was your best friend. We miss him greatly. He passed away on June 25, 1990.

James David Stedman III, 45, of 1415 DeSoto Place died Monday at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Vogler Funeral Home in Old Salem. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A native of Greensboro, he was a graduate of Guilford College, owner of the Fine Arts Company of Carolina, and a member of the International and American Societies of Appraisers. He had previously attended St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, NC and was a member of the Class of 1967.
Surviving are mother, Mrs. J.D. Stedman of Greensboro; sister, Mrs. Jane Weaver of Greensboro.
The family will be at the home of Jane Weaver, 1016 Browning Place, 7-9 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem.

Sharky was a member of my Suite 1 in Winston Salem Dorm. He was only at SA for two years, but he was known to be bright and he was a great suitemate. He was a scratch golfer and I kept up with him, visiting him and his mother until his passing.Anne Pritchard (Acuff)
I am sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was a good friend as you said in his comments, when he was your friend he was a true friend. I had the upmost respect and admiration for him. He was a serious student and an honorable man.
