In Memory

Daniel Decou

Bear took his last ride to his final resting place in the sky on February 12, 2016, after a 20-month fight that started out with pancreatic cancer.

He will be remembered by all who got to know him and love him as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E. (American Bikers Aiming Toward Education) Davis Chapter, where he held different positions, U.M.F., and B.O.O.B.S. (Brotherhood of Old Bikers). All who knew him at Scott Anderson Trucking, and Clearfield Job Corps grew to love his personality, wonderful company, and great cooking.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, leather work, beading, and grilling outside.

Bear is survived by his wife, Susan DeCou, mother Caroline DeCou, two sisters Kathy James (David), of Ohio; Penny Hill, kids from previous marriages: Fawn, Pennsylvania, Tiffanie Warren, Wyoming, and James DeCou (Brandy) Utah. Also survived by four step-children from his current marriage: Melinda Cass, Ronald Cottrill (Regina), Robert Hooey, Crystal Thomas (Kenny), five nephews and 11 grandkids.

Preceded in death by his father, James Thomas, Grandma and Grandpa Johnston, Grandma and Grandpa Embrey, his brother David and his son Jerico.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary Chapel, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit with the family from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the mortuary.
