Thomas Sloan Obituary: Funeral services for Thomas Sloan, 25, of Platte City, Mo., who died Thursday (20 Apr 1973) in St. John Hospital after an extended illness will be Saturday morning in St. Joseph of the Valley Church. The time of the funeral is 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Butial will be in St. Joseph of the Valley Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today at the Sumpter Funeral Chapel for friends and members of the parish. Mr. Sloan was born April 19, 1948 at Leavenworth, a son of Kenneth E. & Rita Hennessey Sloan. He was a graduate of Immaculata High School and Kansas City Business College. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sloan of the home; two brothers, Dr. Kenneth B. of Lawrence, and Ronald S. of Aurora, Colo.; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Shelafo of Winchester; a niece and a nephew. Friends may call at Sumpter Funeral Chapel. The family suggested memorials to St. john Hospital or the Cancer Fund.
