Stacie Renee Dodrill (July 9, 1976-May 26, 1989)

Stacie drowned on May 26, 1989 while swimming in a creek at Geneva-On-The-Lake State Park. She was 12 years old and a student in the seventh grade at LaBrae Middle School. She had many friends and loved to read, dance and play her clarinet. She collected dolls; she had many fulfilling activities and loved life.

The following is an excerpt from one of Stacie's fifth grade English papers:

"I guess my favorite thing was spending two weeks in West Virginia. It was the best two weeks of my life. I love it down there. They have lots of hills and mountains and pretty trees and fresh air. I learned how to milk a cow got eggs from the chickens and fed the cows, pigs and ducks. Next summer I want to go back and stay longer. All in all I think I had a pretty good Summer and I am looking forward to the next one!"
