Mark Elkins

On May 14, 2017, Joseph Mark Elkins passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side at the age of 60. Mark is a native of Lebanon, Ohio and was a former resident of Savannah, Georgia where he was the owner of Elkins Painting. Mark and his wife Sherry recently relocated to Safety Harbor, Florida. He is proceeded in death by his mother Florine Elkins, father Eli Elkins, sister Mary Catherine, brothers, Clayton, Jesse, Marion and Elwood Elkins, sister May Ward, and step son Justin Thompson Garris. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Sharon (Sherry) Elkins, two step sons, Jeffrey Garris (Thaddeus), Trey Garris (Chainey), father in law and mother in law Otis and Sarah Lowery, 3 grandchildren (Shaylan, Caleb and Jimmy), six sisters Mabel Akers, Ann Wooley, Judy Murphy, Reedie Miller (Johnny), Helen Grethel (Jeff), Daliaha Turner (Doug), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mark's passions were many. He treasured time with family and friends, and he enjoyed baseball (Cincinnati Reds), football (Cincinnati Bengals & Ohio State), grilling, motorcycles and adventure. Mark's outgoing and loving personality could light up a room. He never met a stranger and he went out of his way to make sure you were happy, comfortable and entertained. There will be a Celebration of Life on June 10, 2017 from 6 p.m. to midnight at Eagles Lodge, 209 W. Main Street, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
