Eric Matthew Grimes, 36, a lifelong resident of Leesburg, network engineer with Savvis in Sterling, died Nov. 13 in Sterling.

Mr. Grimes was born July 16, 1971, in Leesburg to Robert E. “Bob” and Cathy E. Pletcher Grimes of Leesburg. He attended Loudoun County Public Schools and graduated from Loudoun County High School in 1989. He attended Radford University on a golf scholarship, graduating in 1993 with a sports medicine degree. Mr. Grimes was a member of the Leesburg Baptist Church. He enjoyed life, golf and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors also include a brother, Greg Grimes of Leesburg.

Mr. Grimes was buried in Leesburg Union Cemetery.
