Sherman Von (Booner) Larson, age 62 of Lehi, died peacefully at his home, October 3, 1996, after a courageous battle with emphysema and Alzheimer's disease. He was born November 22, 1933, in Lehi, Utah, son of Stephen Niel and Erma Fox Larson. Married Ruth Ann Howard, April 14, 1956, in Pocatello, Idaho.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Shurtleff and Andrews Co. and was also a fur rancher in Lehi. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the LDS Church.
He enjoyed his family and especially his grandchildren. He had a great love for animals and enjoyed hunting and fishing and the outdoors.
Survived by his wife, Ruth Ann of Lehi; his mother, Erma Larson, Lehi; two sons and one daughter: Brent (Joan) Larson, Lehi, Steven Howard (Stephanie) Larson, Provo, Kristie (Mike) Condley, Spanish Fork; eight grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Rex (Lorna) Larson and Pat (James) Gray, both of Lehi; Norma (Paul) Mecham, American Fork; Lois (Glen) Jorgensen and Glenda (Roy) Carter, both of Pleasant Grove.
Funeral Monday, October 7, 1996, at 12 noon in the Lehi Tenth Ward LDS Chapel, 200 North Center Street. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, Lehi, Sunday evening from 608 p.m. and at the Church, Monday one hour prior to services. Burial in the Lehi City Cemetery.
