Christy and I went to school together from 1-12th grade. I have some old pictures of us with a group of kids when were in the first or second grade. We were playing "Simon Says" on the old concrete slab that was in front of the elementary school back then. If you remember West from those days you will recall that the slab was where the "new" building corner is now...right where Mrs. Judy Black's class was when we were Seniors. I will try to find these photos and scan them.

Another memory of Christy...her struggles with having a little kid brother. We were in Mrs. Evan's class for homeroom in the 8th or 9th grade...my memory is bad. We were still in the old rock high school. We had a half hour before our class went to lunch each day. We just sat there and talked the whole time. Christy used to have scratches all over her hands from defending herself against Frank. He was just a little thing then. She had a good attitude about him and the stories she would tell us about their exploits after school were great!

Christy had such a great personality. I thought that she and Heath were the perfect couple. When we were in school, Christy was always smiling and that's how I remember her after high school. She gave me a teddy bear Christmas ornament in 1987. I have always put the ornament on my tree. When Christy died, the ornament became even more special to me. I will always remember her smiling face, the laughter she so freely shared and her love of life.
