Michael William "Mike" Eagle

Michael William “Mike” Eagle, 45,
Mediapolis, formerly of Wapello and Muscatine, died Friday, April 24, 2009,
at the Great River Medical Center at West Burlington.

Mr. Eagle was born April 8, 1964, the son
of William and Margaret Beverlin Eagle, in Muscatine. He graduated from
Louisa-Muscatine High School, rural Letts.  He worked in concrete construction
with Wilson Concrete of Burlington.  He was of the Baptist faith.He enjoyed fishing,
mushroom hunting, boating, and the family gatherings where they enjoyed playing cards.
His dog, Buddy and his many friends were important to him along with the annual canoe trips.  He would do anything for anyone if he could help.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Sheryl Maish; two sons, Joshua and Angela Eagle of New Boston, Ill., and Eric Eagle and Krista Beik of Wapello; five stepchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Jeff, Megan and Jared Maish; three grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; six sisters, Pam Schmeltzer of Chester, Va., Linda and William Allen of Fruitland, Sandra Ward of Grandin, Mo., Tricia and Mike O’Toole of Letts, Sheila Eagle of Muscatine, and Misty Cates of Otisville, Mich.; five brothers, Terry and Madelyn Eagle, Thomas Eagle, Robert and Cyndi Eagle, Donald Holem, and Vernon and Patience Holem, all of Muscatine, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, George Holem.
