
Donald "Don" C. Adams, 59, died Tuesday, May 27th in Shelbyville. He retired after 29 years as a steel buyer for Trane Company. He was a former member of the Bluegrass Sportsman Club and also the Bryan Station Muzzleloaders. He was also an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia "Pat" Adams, of Shelbyville; his son, Robert Samuel Adams of Lexington; his daughters, Serena Adams Collier and Heather Adams McDavid, both of Shelbyville; his son, William Clark Adams of Shelbyville; his mother, Jessie Serena Adams of Shelbyville; his brother, Richard L. Adams of Carmel, IN; and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery.

I was in the same Sunday school class and went to the same church with Don at Hunter Presbyterian on Rosemont. He was a good natured and rascally fellow.
He was on the LHS swim team. As an money making venture he made sweatshirts with the Swim team logo.
It was a hot item for a winter sport.
Years later he married on of my good friends Pat McMillen.
Sadly, at this time they are both gone.
