MARTIN Janet Mischelle "Mickey" (Boland) 67, of Lexington passed away Tuesday, September 20th surrounded by her loving family. Mickey was the youngest member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce & attended the University of Kentucky. She was the proprietress of The Corner Cupboard. During her years in Los Angeles she was a model, actress, author, TV producer & nationally recognized VP of Communications. She is survived by her mother, Nettie Hughbanks; sister, Karen Phelps (Kenneth); children, Dawn Johnson, Sophia Hollon, Samantha Montgomery & Jourdan Martin; grandchildren, Chloe Bates (Shayne) & Aidan Moore & her nieces, Barkclay Phelps & Kelly Phelps. She is preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Boland Jr.; brother, Mitchell Boland III & granddaughter Caitlin Johnson. A memorial service & visitation will be held Monday, September 26th from 5-8 pm with the service beginning at 6pm at Crestwood Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Markey Cancer Center.
