BURGER Leslie Noel (Thorp), age 70, wife of Stanley M. Burger of Versailles, died in her home Saturday, Jan 3, 2015. She was the daughter of the late William Walter and Emolee Linville Thorp of Lexington. She was preceded in death by her older brother, Randall Blair Thorp, of Gadsden, Alabama. She is survived by her husband of 45 years; two daughters, Lori Allison Jeffries of Frankfort and Erin Nicole Robinson of Lexington; and three grandchildren, Kaetlyn Renee Jeffries, James Matthew Robinson, and Bailey Nicole Robinson. A 1962 graduate of Lafayette High School and a 1966 graduate of the University of Kentucky (with a BA Degree in Music Education), she was a longtime student of Barbara Ann's School of Dance, was a Barbara Ann Belle, and taught tap dancing while attending school. She taught music in a variety of Fayette County elementary schools for several years. Noel was a stay-at-home mom until the mid 1980's when she was asked to fill an important proofreading position with Harp Enterprises, Inc., of Lexington where she quickly became an election specialist. She retired from Harp Enterprises after the 2014 November General Election. Noel shall be sorely missed by all.
