Sharon Foote

Sharon R. Foote Sharon R. Foote, 69, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 24, 2013 in Seattle, Washington, while on vacation with her brother. She was born October 8, 1943 in Libertyville, where she remained all her life. Sharon was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville, contributing as a deacon, volunteer and helped coordinate the church newsletter. She was also a loving teacher who truly loved her students. Sharon taught Spanish for 30 years at North Chicago High School, before retiring in 1994. She graduated from Libertyville High School in 1961, received her BA in Languages from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1965 and her MA in School Administration from Roosevelt University. Sharon was a member of the IEA and AFT, fighting for teacher's rights. She was an avid Blackhawks, Bears and Cubs fan and also enjoyed traveling in the U.S., Mexico, South America, Europe and to see her great niece and nephew in Michigan. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. Foote and Gladys E. (Giss) Foote. She is survived by her loving brother, Dwayne E. Foote, her nephew, Robert E. Foote (Jennifer), her niece, Debra L. Prinzing (Erik), her great nephews and nieces, Jason and Erin Prinzing and Allison and Brayden Foote. She is also survived by her aunt, Adeline Foote, and her loving cousins Mary Foote and Thomas Foote. She will be greatly missed by all who met and knew her. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 at the First Presbyterian Church, 219 W. Maple, Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
