Marty passed away on July 8, 2013 in Wausau, Wisconsin after a long and exhausting battle with heart disease and kidney failure. 

She attended the University of Illinois and Deaconess Nursing school before moving to Wausau, where she worked for 37 years as an auditor at Wausau Insurance.  She was then employed at the Marathon County Red Cross office for two years before retiring again.

Marty served the Wausau area as an American Red Cross volunteer instructor for over 35 years, and was active in Altrusa and Therapy Dogs International while working and after retirement.
