Ed Sublett passed away suddenly on March 17, 2022. He was born in Kinston, NC in 1942 to his late parents, Edwin E. Sublett, Sr. and Ruby McFarland.

Ed graduated from Cornell College in 1965, the same year he married his high school sweetheart, Jane Day '61. They made their home in Lake Forest where Ed loved his community.  He was a referee for both football and wrestling, a former coach at Lake Forest College, and he started the Lake Forest Scouts Junior Football League, which is still in existence, at the Lake Forest Recreation Center. He worked many years as a Real Estate Broker and will be remembered for his kindness and ability to make everyone laugh.

Devoted husband of 56 years to Jane Sublett; loving father of Tarn (Kelly) Sublett of Kirkland, WA and Jordan (Tom) Weiss of Lake Forest, IL; cherished grandfather of Ryan (Julia), and Sierra Sublett, Sheridan, Delaney, and Hunter Weiss; brother of Kevin Sublett, Anica Mullis, Kay Jelinek, and the late Janice Fincher; stepson of AnnaMae Sublett.

A Celebration of Life event will be held at a future date to be determined.
