Vernon "LeRoy" Uglow, Lincoln, departed this earthly world on December 4, 2015, at 59 years young, after a brief illness. He was born April 4, 1956, in Kimball, to Vernon Lee and Phyllis Ann (White) Uglow and worked for the City of Lincoln Street Maintenance Division for 38 years, retiring as the Northeast district manager. Leroy enjoyed the years fishing, camping, boating and tubing with the kids and living on the acreage with Angie, "hobby-farming" their chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs and a big garden.
Leroy is survived by his mother, of Hickman; wife, Angela Chestnut; son, Christopher Uglow; daughter, Kelli Uglow; step-son, Chad Ring (all of Lincoln); step-son Andrew Dean, Falls City; grandchildren, Korynn and Hadley Uglow; step-grandchildren Carson Ring, Gavin and Owen Dean; brothers, Craig and Rick Uglow; sister, Renita Worrell; and countless other family and dear friends.
Preceded in death by father Vernon Lee Uglow and brother Jimmy.

Celebration of life: 2-4 p.m. Sunday, December 13, Denton Community Center, 7115 Lancaster Avenue, with a short memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. Memorials to the family for future designation.
