IN MEMORY

Alan Foral

On December 11, 2018, at age 66, Alan Gregory Foral left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father. Alan passed away peacefully at home with his devoted wife and constant companion, Beverly by his side. Alan was born on August 25, 1952, the third of three children born to John and Ann Foral. Alan lived his entire life in Lincoln, graduating from Pius X High School in 1970.

Alan worked as a warehouse manager at Ace Hardware during his adult years, leaving the traditional workplace in 1991 at age 39 to pursue his life's interest of gathering, identifying, and selling Pleistocene fossils. Later, Alan bought and sold unique and sought-after antiques.

Alan's fondest activity in life was hunting. He was an avid and accomplished deer and large game hunter, having hunted every year since he was 16 years old. He took several large game hunting excursions to Alaska where he harvested world class caribou, elk, and also hunted bear.  Alan had a deep respect for Mother Earth and an abiding belief in God.

Alan is known for his work ethic, his quick wit, and his loyalty to his friends. He so enjoyed attending auctions and meeting with other auction dealers to share stories,
