Mark and I didn't hang out much in high school, but became close the summer after graduation, hanging out with mutual friends who also happened to be musicians. To ensure that our friends would always have a place to play (loudly) we rented a house. For the next two years we lived together at a couple of different places. We had some great times over the years and stayed in touch right up until the day of his death. In fact, he died just hours after we finished watching the 2001 Nebraska-Colorado game together. RIP, Mark!
