Downs, Robert Thomas

Omaha. Passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE. Bob was born on July 12, 1954 in Omaha, NE to Herbert and Betty (Burt) Downs. Bob graduated from the University of Nebraska and spent his entire teaching career until retirement in the Millard Public School System. He is survived by his sister, Louise McKenzie of Beach Park, IL and his brother, William Downs of Atlanta, GA; nephew, Michael McKenzie and son Calieb of Kenosha, WI, niece, DeAnne (Tristan) Porras, daughter, Giovanna, son Nathan of Zion, IL; uncle Donald (Carole) Burt of Lincoln, NE, aunt Carolyn (Eugene) Krieger of St. Louis, MO, and many cousins. Burial will be held Monday, April 16, at 11am at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, NE.
