February 22, 1954 – January 19, 2024

Born in Lincoln to L. Dale and Emily (Frandsen) Griffing. Larry attended Saratoga Elementary, Irving Junior High, and Lincoln High School, graduating in 1972.

Larry worked for various editions of the main Lincoln cablevision company for 30-plus years. Picking up undergraduate studies at UNL after a nearly 30-year absence, he graduated with a B.F.A. degree in 2003. Larry was a member of Gallery 9. His paintings are scattered among homes in Lincoln. Larry's other avocations were reading history and playing rugby.

He is survived by his brother, Marlon (Buster); and sister-in-law, Norma Cox of St. Paul, MN; nephew, Max Griffing of Fort Lauderdale; and niece, Lillie Griffing of West St. Paul. Preceded in death by his parents; and aunts and uncles.
