Michael A. Kellogg was born November 3, 1953 to Enoch and Bettie Jo Ann Kellogg (Shepard) in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Mike attended Whittier Junior High, and was a 1972 graduate of Lincoln High.  Later in life, Mike attended UNL to pursue a degree in Journalism, with hopes of becoming a sportswriter.  He died on January 16, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer.  Mike was preceded in death by his mother, brothers Terry and Perry.  His survivors include his father, brothers Steve and John, sisters Kelli Kellogg, Kristi Green, and his beloved dog, Cherokee.
