SueAnn Schwabauer-Sheridan, 67, of Lincoln, died on March 28, 2021. SueAnn was born March 13, 1954 to Walter & Lillian (Eichler) Schwabauer. SueAnn was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School. She loved being an Emergency Room nurse, spending the early part of her career in the E-Room at Denver General which was known at that time as the Knife and Gun Club. SueAnn was a Registered Nurse and was one of the original members of the Star Care Flight Team. She loved all animals. She once had a pet raccoon, a half wolf dog, and numerous cats and dogs, too numerous to count. Although her pets were her passion she truly and passionately loved horses, riding, and competing in horse related events. She started riding at the age of three years and only stopped when disease overtook her. SueAnn was barrel racing, competing professionally at the age of 17. Later she competed in the Hunter Jumper type contests. SueAnn grew up as a member of Ebenezer Congregational church, where she learned to love the Lord and accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She loved her grandkids. Her one wish when she knew she was fading was to live long enough to see the girl her grandson Mason would marry. She didn't make that happen. We do know that she is now teaching her grandson Aydan how to ride and rodeo.
Preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Aydan Defruiter. Survived by her husband, Ed Sheridan; daughter, Erin (Jeremy) Defruiter; grandsons, Mason & Trenton Defruiter; many cousins. There are no formal services planned at this time. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510. https://www.bmlfh.com/obituary/sueann-schwabauer-sheridan
