Laura Sheldon, age 65 of Lincoln, passed away September 20, 2019. Laura Ann Halsted was born February 19, 1954 to William and Oretha (Littlejohn) Halsted. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972. She married Scott Sheldon in 1972 and soon after, gave birth to a daughter, Jennifer Lynn. In 1974 they welcomed son, Jeffrey Michael. They had two more daughters, Julie Renee and Jody Ann in 1978 and 1979.

In 1985, she lost the love of her life Scott, to cancer. She had several jobs in environmental services through the years including, Residence Inn, St. Elizabeth Medical Center; Bryan Hospital; Goodwill Industries and most recently, Eastmont Towers. She had ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and another on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; in laws, Marvin and Jean Sheldon; husband Scott; son in law, Tommy Caldwell; brother, Rod Halsted and nephew, Brian Christner. Survivors include her children, Jennifer (Eric) Caldwell; Jeff (Dena) Sheldon; Julie Sheldon and Jody Zegers; grandchildren, Jordan (Marista); Jesse (Kayln); Noah, Rachel, and Ethan; Justice (Lia) Jalen, Audrey, Maelee and Joslyn; and great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Isaac, Asher and Davina.
