John C. Bruce Sr., 76, Lincoln, died Monday (7/31/06). Born, Verdigre (4/22/30) to John Thomas and Lydia Blanche (Clark) Bruce. Retired school teacher; taught school at Wilber High School, Whittier Junior High and Lincoln High in math and electronics, serving most of the time in the A/V and media library at Lincoln High. U.S. Navy Air Corps veteran. Member: American Legion Post 3; VFW.

Survivors: wife, Eleanor; sons, daughters-in-law, John C. Jr. and Sharon Bruce, Lincoln, William C. Bruce, Las Vegas, Nev., Robert C. and Cammie Bruce, Lincoln; daughter, son-in-law, Suzanne and Robert Eckles, Malcolm; grandchildren, John C. Bruce III, Jamie Bruce, Nathan Bruce, Justin Eckles; nieces. Preceded in death by parents; one sister.

Mr. Bruce's son, John Bruce Jr. is a member of the LHS Class of '72.
