Anna Wilhelmina Fredrikke Johnson was born in the village of Upland, in Franklin County, Nebrasks to Jens and Lizzie (Olson) Johnson, on February 1, 1914.  One of her earliest teaching jobs was in 1940 at the Knox County Jail, in Center, Nebraska, for a salary of $810 per year.  By the late 1940s, she was teaching history at Lincoln High, where she continued until her retirement.  She passed away August 12, 2003, at the age of 89.
