Nancy Jane Biggs, 75, of Lincoln, Neb., passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Nancy was born on May 22, 1951, to John Cooper Dean and Mercedes Elaine Miller in Lincoln, Neb. Raised in Lincoln, she graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School and went on to earn a degree in education from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She dedicated her career to early childhood development, holding many roles within both Lincoln Public Schools and KinderCare before retiring as a director.
Beyond her career, Nancy brought vibrancy and warmth to every part of her life. She loved going dancing, listening to live music, and spending time with her close, longtime friends. Her greatest joy was her family, and she cherished every visit with her grandchildren in Scottsdale and Omaha.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Matthew (Maria) Biggs of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Michael (Khristy) Biggs of Omaha, Neb.; siblings, Jody (Mike) Rierden, Beverly (Kirk) Muffly, John (Lucie) Dean, and Linda (Jim) Rocke; and grandchildren, Viviana Biggs, Landon Biggs, and Morgan Biggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mercedes Dean.
A private family service will be held. Memorials may be sent to the family.
