With a heavy heart we are sad to report that Valerie Dixon Huenink passed away today. She was always such a wonderful and kind person. She will be missed by so many. Please keep Valerie's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Valerie Anne Huenink, 71, of Lincoln passed away December 9, 2022. Born May 15, 1951, in Lincoln, NE to George and Marjorie (Swanson) Dixon.
Valerie was a former financial counselor for patients accounts at Bryan Hospital. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Early in her career, Valerie had her own daycare and enjoyed taking care of the neighbor children as well as her own. She loved cake decorating, crafts, sewing, jigsaw puzzles, listening to music and watching old westerns, but most of all she was very involved with her children and grandchildren's activities.
Survived by son Ben (Kari) Huenink, Blair; daughter Julie Huenink, Lincoln; grandchildren Lillian, Hannah, and Olivia Huenink, Kayleb Buesing. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald, infant sons Jason and Jeremy, sisters Amy and Judy, and her canine companion Bree.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (12-13-22) Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 'O' Street.
Visitation from 3-7 pm with family greeting friends from 5-7 pm at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel.
