Roy A. Mayfield, age 72, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Roy was born July 12, 1951 to John T. Mayfield and Sarah E. (Hatfield) Mayfield in Lincoln. He graduated from Northeast High School. After high school he joined the Navy which took him around Europe. He worked for Dorsey Labs, before moving on to work at Molex where he retired from. He loved his dogs Bebe and Chewey. He was also a fan of Star Wars, Harry Potter, old movies, and opera. He absolutely loved his nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Sarah.

Survived by his sister Diana Martin, nephews Brian, Chris, and niece Heather Nickell.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 2pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, NE, with a visitation before the service at 1pm.

Memorials to be given to the family for future designation.
