dob:  3/14/1951   dod:  4/11/2018  Janet Marcella Wewee, 67, passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital, Billings, Montana, April 11, 2018.  A celebration of her life will be held August 4, with location and time to be announced.  Creamation.  She was born in Indianapolis March 14, 1951, to Dewitt and Shirley Wewee.  She and her family lived in Indiana for a few years until moving to Lincoln, NE, where Janet grew up, attending Pershing Elementary and Lincoln Northeast High School.  It was there she met and married Michael Hitch, having three children; Debra, Dylan and Jennifer.  The couple were only married a few short years when they divorced and Janet moved to South Dakota with her three daughters.  She and her girls moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1978, where she made her home and raised her family.  She worked at Clifty View, becoming a supervisor in a job she thoroughly enjoyed, then worked at the Restorium while studing to become a volunteer EMT with Boundary Volunteer Ambulance.  She had a passions for cooking, gardening, fishing and the mountains, things that drew her to Bonners Ferry many years ago.  Five years ago, she decided to make a change, and moved to Montana with a friend, where she lived until her death.  Janet is survived by daughters Debra Henderson, husband, Scott and grandchildren Joshua (Tristyn), Ashley, Amanda (Dan) and Joey, and great grandchildren Kaine and Harper; Dyan Hitch and her fiance, Cody, and granddaughters Kendra and Kyia; and Jennifer Brown, husband Rodney, grandchildren Rachel Langford (Casey), Gary and John and great-grandchildren Bailey and Castyn Langford.  She is also survived by brothers Dave Wewee, wife Diane and niece Sarah, and Bill Wewee, wife Marietta and nephers David and Marc.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  "Mom's goal was always to come back to Bonners Ferry, Idaho.  She missed he3r adopted hometown and her mountains.  She is now forever home."  Kootenai Valley Times, Bonners Ferry, ID
