I moved to NYC in 1995 and haven't looked back(much). Mom still lives in the house where I grew up. My father passed in 1994 and my brother passed in 1999. I miss them a lot, but their memories keep me going!
Acting professionally as much as possible. When not acting, I work for a hedge fund in their Legal/Compliance Department ensuring that our traders are trading properly as mandated by our funds' trading strategies and SEC rules. Yeah, I know . . . blah blah blah blah blah! I was lucky enough not to suffer a job loss in the economic downturn, but was really nervous there for a while!
I love NYC and all it has to offer. City life is definitely a necessity for me! I love the diversity here and the "live and let live" attitude. Nature is wonderful and I wish we would take better care of it. I try to do my part in keeping it safe for the coming generations.
I've become quite liberal since leaving the Baltimore area, but fiscally conservative and have voted across party lines even though I'm a registered Democrat. I believe in equality for all citizens, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or economic status. I believe our politicians should have integrity and too many don't! If you make a promise, keep it! Don't make them if you have no intentions of keeping them or can't keep them. (This goes for everyone, not just politicians!)
