Kathryn Fowler: Who do you call when the one who always was there to help you find your voice is no longer alive? This past February, my dearest, closest, bestest friend Kathryn Conk died. It has taken until today, her 63rd birthday, for me to acknowledge her passing.
To the Conk family, my silence has gone on far too long. I am so sorry. Please accept my heartfelt love for you all, and my sharing of the pain in losing two such wonderful women. I think of you all with such fondness.
Conk, you shared your guardian angel with me, you will always be in my heart.
George Conk: My favorite photo of Kathryn, taken in 1989. She would have been 65 today. Our most painful loss.
Nancy Conk: “Three years ago today my Mom passed away peacefully at home. Four days later we lost my sister Kathryn. I miss them both - especially our "girls’ weekends" in San Francisco. My Mom always made sure we had fun, a bit of culture and FINE dining!”
Nancy Conk: My sister Candy - my favorite 1st mate. We loved to sail together. It's been a long year since she left us.
