Barbara Ann Martel NORFOLK - Barbara Ann Martel, 66, passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a retired manager at K-Mart. Born in Lititz, Pa., she was the widow of Richard George Martel Jr. and was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Betty Kroeck. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Robin Martel of Columbia, S.C.; and two sons, Richard R. Martel and his wife Lynette of Norfolk and Ronald G. Martel and his wife Cynthia of Rogersville, Ala.; four brothers, Richard, John, Tim and Ted Kroeck all of Lititz, Pa. She was a devoted grandmother to her loving grandchildren, Ronnie, Rebecka, Victoria, Alexandra and Lydia. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, in the Norfolk Chapel of H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., by the Reverend Michelle D. Louk. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
