Bobbie was born in Little Rock, AR to Henry and Girtha Humphrey as the forth of six children. She was preceded in death by both parents: Brother Henry Humphrey Jr. sister Edna Turner and a loving son, Douglas James “Jamie’ Clayton.

Bobbie graduated from Horace Mann High School in Little Rock in 1967. She was a member of the drill team, dance team   School choir and Beta Club.

Bobbie professed a love in Christ at an early age and soon joined Coleman Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church (now known as Grace Temple A.M.E. Church) under the leadership of Reverend T. G. Gilliam. She remained an active member of the church until her death, active in the church choir and Christian Education Department, at one time presiding over the Youth and Buds of Promise program. She became a steward, deaconess and lifetime member of the Missionary Society. She also was crowned the Queen of the Little Rock/Hot Springs District Arkansas Conference Home Mission.

Bobbie leaves to cherish her memory her devoted sister Willie Delyles, brother J.C. Taylor (Dorothy), each of Little Rock, and sister Allice Hood ( David) of Mountain House, California: three grandsons, Douglas,  Jamie, “Lil Jamie”,  and Jaman Clayton; four great grandchildren, Jade, Jamie Jr., Jay Cee, and J’nan Clayton, several nieces and nephews and host of loving cousins and wonderful friends.
