Brenda Mack (Hodges)

Obituary
Brenda Joyce Mack Hodges was born September 15, 1949 to Eddie and Obelia Mack who preceded her in death.
She attended Gospel Temple Baptist Church, Greater Charity Ministries, and later became a member of First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Marvel Williams. She was a 1967 graduate of Horace Mann High School, and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas after 35 years of service.
Brenda served as an Arkansas Licensed Funeral Director until 1981. She was always willing to help anyone no matter how great or small, whatever the task. She enjoyed coordinating weddings, shopping and traveling with her sisters, watching the food network channel and loved butterflies and unicorns. She was very quiet and reserved but was full of wisdom. If you needed someone to talk to, she was a confidant, sister and most of all, a great friend who was truly loved.
She leaves to cherish in her memory her son, Jemal D. Hodges of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, John E. Harris (Sharon) Burlington, IA, Eddie Mack (Lois) North Little Rock AR; four sisters, Ida Rose Brown, Charlotte Johnson; Doris Ray (Bernard), Evette Harris all of Little Rock AR; two grandchildren, Kala B. Hodges; Taylor J. Hodges; a special person she considered as her own brother, Larry Burks (Juanita) Little Rock, AR; three special people she considered as her own sisters; Valerie Currie, Katrina Shepherd, Martel (Pat) Bailey all of little Rock and a host of relatives and friends.
