Floyd Norfleet, 71, of Katy, Texas passed on January 27. Floyd Evans Norfleet, our son, brother and uncle was born on July 6, 1949, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Floyd passed away on, Monday, January 27, 2020. 


Preceding him in death are his parents, Roy Norfleet, Sr. and Samella Brown-Norfleet; sister, Sandra Norfleet-Redwood; brothers, Forrest Brown, Roy Norfleet, Jr. and Donnell Norfleet; nephew, Keith Norfleet. 
Floyd was a graduate of Horace Mann’s class of, 1968. After graduating high school, Floyd went on to enlist in the United States Navy, serving as an Electrical Engineer. After his service time in the Navy was completed, he attended the U of A Little Rock and received training in, the medical field for surgical nursing that lead to his career service at the, Veterans Hospital. Floyd also held the position of a Warden with, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission that he greatly enjoyed for over 20 years. Floyd recently retired ending his professional career experiences from the Little Rock School District’s Campus Safety and Security Department. 


Floyd is survived by his nephews; Gerald Brown, Steven Norfleet and Shelby “Mark” Norfleet (Candace); nieces, Sharron Brown, Kimberly Norfleet-Reed and Tomika Norfleet Gaddy (Willie) and a host of other family and friends.

 Visitation: Monday, January 24, from 12-5 p.m., at the funeral home. Graveside service will be: 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, at NLR Veterans Cemetery, 1501 Maryland Avenue, D.L. Boyd Funeral Home, 10600 Trainstation Dr., Mabelvale, Ark., 72103, 501-246-5913.
