Tom Sterling

                                    

Tom Edward Sterling, was born November 23, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Edward and Mary A. Sterling, their youngest child. Tom passed on May 8, 1998.

He professed a hope in Christ as a young child united with Mount Olive Baptist Church in Little Rock as a member of the Junior Choir.

A child, Jessica D. Sterling, was born from this union in marriage to Linda Evans.

Tom’s favorite avenues of relaxation was bowling and fishing. One of the highlights of his life was to bowl a 300; earning him awards and prizes.

Tom attended Stephens Elementary School, Dunbar Junior High and Horace Mann Senior High School.

After a tour in the U.S. Navy for two years he attended Arkansas Baptist College. He was employed for 23 wonderful years with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where he served in Management.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved mother, Mary A. Sterling; his only daughter Jessica D, Sterling; sister, Mary L. Rogers; brothers-in-law, Richard Rogers; one great-great uncle, Jack Morgan, Pasadena CA; one great-great aunt; Eva Morgan; three nieces, Mia S. Moore (Thadius), Mechele F. Stewart (Terry), Metrecie F. Daniels; one nephew, Michael F. Daniels Jr., a host of other relatives, co-workers, and friends.
