April and Kim, I will have MY attorney draw up custody papers for purse. It's not that I don't trust Kim, but I have see such issues really become bad. And we all want what is best for the purse. I don't want to have it become torn apart in some ugly scene involving matching shoes.

Hey Liz can't wait to dance my way to the finish line at the big race! But you know if it is up to me I won't be the only one out there dancing.. I have some other dance partners like hummm lets see Dena, Caroline they are some big go getters when it comes to taring up the dance floor as well.. So we need plenty of water & big towels to wipe off the sweet..So bring it on & of course the drinks afterwards....

Oooooo the shoes....do you know how many different pairs of shoes will match that purse???

I will be AFK this afternoon....shoe shopping.

T - I can't wait to see it! Just please don't try to dance three miles in strappy sandals. You may not be very big, but I can't carry you on my back.

Hey - I think we need Elvis out there as a 3 Mile of Men man. Andy, you should perhaps broach this subject. I want Elvis to cheer us on!!

Elizabeth Reves

what is AFK???
and I already have many pairs that match....

Hey, everyone ~ I just posted several pictures I have of Dante Pounders on my profile. I understand from Stephanie that in a month or so we will be able to add more photos to the Memory pages of our dear friends who have passed away. For now, I decided to go ahead and put these up for y'all to see now if you would like! There are much better pictures of Dante than the one posted on her Memory page right now, so I'm digging through my old boxes of pictures and albums. If any of you guys have any photos of our old buddies who have passed away please put them up for us all to see! Hope you enjoy the ones I have so far of Dante . . .I miss her so much! I know she would be happy to be a part of this and to have stayed in touch with so many of our class!

I went to see Brena and Danielle today. The doctors are to be putting in a feeding tube tomorrow. If all goes well, Danielle should be moving to Baptist Rehab for awhile. Danielle is talking and can move her left side. She has some movement on her right side, but it is limited. She cannot swallow and is not able to digest anything. The doctors say she should make a great recovery-some things are just in God's hands. Once Danielle goes to rehab, Brena is going back home to work for awhile. Brena's mom will be staying down here. Please continue to remember Danielle and her husband. Danielle has a long road ahead plus dealing with the loss of her daughter. Thanks from Brena for all the prayers from the Great Class of 1983.

Hello everyone!

I've had a crazy schedule since our reunion so I'm a little behind telling everyone how great it was to be there. For those of you who did not attend (shame on you)we had a blast!

Thank you to Robin, Stephanie and Andy for all your hard work. I'm sure there are others who helped, thank you as well.

Race for the Cure will mean so much more to me this year. I'm very pleased that our class will have a team. For those of you who don't know, I was diagnosed this year with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Recently completing six months of chemo the cancer is gone. PRAISE GOD!
Thanks to those of you who lifted me and my family up in your prayers. Let me share with you what I've realized in the last seven months. We live in a place where God has so blessed us. Everyday we take so much for granted. Please enjoy everyday you are blessed with. Be happy, life is too short to be miserable.

Tricia my prayers are with you and your family. I just heard about your sister. I always thought Karen was so neat and that you were lucky to have sisters. It was so cool that Karen and I had the same name. She was so beautiful and cool.

Michele, sorry I didn't get to visit with you much. How's Tyler? Is Landon driving? I miss seeing everyone at
Wal Mart in Bryant. That seemed to be where I always ran into someone from school.

Lisa Lovell Kimbbrell it was good to see you. My brother says "hello".

It was so great to see and visit with you all again. Can't wait til our next reunion!

Those of you in NWA let's get together real soon.

Good News!!

After an extensive and exhausting pub crawl, followed by analysis of data so intricate that my laptop rolled over and died from the sheer magnitude of the task...I have come to a startling conclusion regarding the venue for our next Lion's Night Out....

We will be returning to Cajun's!!!(imagine the computer generated, Olympic quality fireworks here)

The weather forecast has the temperatures continuing the trend downward through next week so the deck should be pleasant and the AC should have no trouble keeping up. Last time, when we had issues, the temp was still hovering around 95 at 10pm...lows for next weekend are pegged at 68 so the evening should have whispers of fall and be quite comfortable. Non-flashing skinny girls might even need a sleeve!

Lion's Night Out
Saturday, August 23
Cajun's
I'll be on the deck at 6:30...you get there when you can
Cover charge starts at 8:30

This may be the best Lion's Night Out so far. Make plans now to be there...you don't want to miss the excitement!!!

I see from her last post that Kim (Cruise Director, Julie McCoy) has added Meterologist, Ned Perme to her repertoire (and I would personally like to add, with many thanks, Nurse,Florence Nightingale). Is there any thing she can't do?
Will you be on the sports desk next, or Isaac the bartender??

08/13/08 02:07 PM #417

Kimberly B. Mordecai

When I'm not Julie, it's Isaac all the way....scroll up to see that I'm already working on Prune Juice Martini's for the Mountain Lions!!!

08/13/08 03:37 PM #418

Elizabeth Reves

is that because they are older than us, or just need more help getting going???

08/13/08 04:12 PM #419

Kimberly B. Mordecai

The Mountain Lions seem to need a little help with the "getting going" part of things. Seems they haven't figured out that some of us are anxious to road trip up and crash their outing...if they would just plan one!!!

Just added a playlist with songs from late 1982-1983 to our home page. Please let me know if there is a song you would like added to the list. Hope you enjoy it as well as the snapshots.

Sonia...old friend...some of us do post...

It just gets lost in the sea of party plans and prayer requests.....

Not too worry, If something needs to be said on my behalf...

""""""I WILL GET THE ATTENTION OF OTHERS..."""""""""

I have had quite a bit of experience in commanding attention of louder, larger, and leather clad crowds.

08/14/08 08:37 AM #425

Bendi L. Darnell (Toland)

I LOVE IT!!! The site is even better than before.

OK the first Mountain Lion night out is when Caroline is up here. Monday the 18th and it may pick up again Tuesday the 19th if Caroline stays that night too! Anyone who wants to join us....come on out. This is the first day of school, but this is when Caroline is here so it's a start!!! Perfect timing for me...my first baby is going to move in a U of A dorm the 19th and I have been in a slump...so I need a night out and a Monday sounds just fine!

NO prune juice Martini's for us!....NOT necessary YET... for now Cranberry juice will do just fine! We are getting there in our planning. You Central Lions are partying so much, we didn't want to take away from your plans! Football season is starting soon and we will put some places on here for game days in NWA.....I think Darla knows just the spot in Fayetteville, she'll let us know!

Karen has really has been a rock though this whole Hodgkin's treatment process. It has been scary to watch her get so weak, but now you can't slow her down! YEAH... We watched her fight and win this battle so far.
Stay strong my friend
I just want to tell all of you who are battling something: We love you and you are an inspiration in strength for us. It's great to see the Race for a Cure team. We all battle various things in our lives and to have friends to support us through is the greatest thing.

Ok, I jumped in and posted something....there has to be others :) :) :) :)
