Gina Martin (Eggebrecht)

I ran into Don Heaton on Wednesday evening at the grocery store - was so good to see him. Told him about the site and the Lions' Nights Out at Cajuns. He said he's definitely going to try to make it to one. Since I couldn't remember the website URL, I told him to google John L McClellan 1983 and he'd find us. :) Hopefully he'll do that. He's recently changed jobs and doesn't get the email updates any longer (at least, I understood him to say that - but then, Harrison started fussing and I was trying to get him happy so I could talk).

Soooo, if you know how to get in touch with Don - point him our way, okay? :)

I was able to make Danielle's funeral in Springdale,Ar.

There are truly no written words, I can express to everyone on this forum of the out pour of support by loved ones and friends, who showed up for Danielle and her family today..it was standing room only! There was not one; man, woman or young person with a dry eye in the funeral home after the song of "Amazing~Grace" was played. Ms. Danielle will forever be an amazing woman for her strength, courage and beauty in all of our hearts!

Ms. Brena,
My family's and church's thoughts, prayers and hearts are with your family and you!

I had mentioned earlier about a memorial fund for Brena's daughter. The fund has been set up at Arvest Bank. All anyone who wishes to donate has to do is to go to a branch and tell them you are giving to the Danielle Bush Cotton memorial fund. I haven't had a chance, but that was the info we were given.
Brena and family still need your prayers. It will be a very long road to travel each day. Kim and I spent time with her and family both Sunday and Monday. She is very, very tired. Just keep her in your prayers.

HAUNTED HOUSE TIME:

NOVEMBER 1ST,2008
WHEN: AFTER IT GETS DARK
ADMISSION: FREE BUT DONATIONS WELCOME

Hey guys, John Cohen's club, The Drifters, are holding their annual fund raiser Haunted House on OCT 31 and Nov. 1. Our group is planning to go on Saturday November 1, after it gets dark. This way anyone that is trick or treating on Halloween can join us. The haunted house is located at Paul's Auto Repair on Vincent Road, which is off Arch Street close to Dixon Road. Most of you should be familiar with this area since we are all 09ers, plus our old rival Mills is out that way. But for those of you who don't know how to get there, email me and I can give you directions. Or you can contact Big John Cohen and he can give you directions. We can meet at a convenient spot and carpool out there if you want. This will be a scary good time and it supports a good cause. Let's all go and support our classmate and the cause his club represents. We can have an after party at one of the local taverns such as Grumpy's or Cajun's once we have been through the Haunted House.

This morning after I got off work and took my daughter to school, I saw the most eciting thing....$2.14 per gallon for gas. In these weird economic times, this was a thrill. I immediately stopped and filled up my tank and had change from what my normal alotment for gas is. It put a little pep in my step. I hope you all find something in your day today to make you smile even when you are dog- tired and have a world of things to do.

Andy- thanks for the update on scarey activities, sounds fun.

Michelle- thanks for the update on Brena and her family.
Prayers are with them.

WOW>>>>THANKS ANDY<<<<<<

SO lemme give ya a little more insight into what we are doing and why...

Our organization began this """FREE""" Haunted House Idea 8 years ago as a way to give back to the community and give a safe fun place to visit for the local kids...welllll kids werent the only ones having fun, so were we. Sooooo it grew and grew and grew to what it is today. We have scares for all ages.. We actually close four business's (Paul's Auto Repair and Wrecker Service and Drifters MC Repair and Drifters Gun Shop) for the entire week prior to Halloween to build this and get it ready for just two nights of fun...Thats Right...two nights only....>>>>>AND ITS STILL FREE<<<<<<<

We do accept donations and 100%, I MEAN 100%, of your donations are used for our Annual ""SANTA RUN"" in December.....Ok so now ya wanna know what that is too...No Problem I am happy to share..

***DRIFTERS 8TH ANNUAL SANTA RUN, Saturday Dec 13th***
Our organization spends the year raising funds through doing Bike SHows, events, fund raisers and some individual and business donations. These funds are used to buy Christmas gifts for the residents of the Arkadelphia Human Development Center, these folks are wards of the state, mentally and physically challenged ranging in age from 18 up...We intercept the residents wish lists and fullfill their wants and needs, from clothes, tv's, video games, rakes, shovels, bicycles, etc...it is a wide list. Last year we spent a little over 4,000.00 on their gifts. We have a ride down to see them all with Santa Claus leading the way, police and fire escort. When we make the turn into their facility and see them all lining the sidewalks, waiting, waving and cheering us on as we rumble into their lives....WELL DAMMITT>>I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE OR HOW HARD CORE YOU THINK YOU ARE>>>YOU WILL BE TOUCHED.....and when one of these residents runs to your side, reaches for your hand. Then stays beside you the entire day because you reached out to him. Little did he know how much of an impact he made on your heart and that you will never forget this day....This Ride is an open event and we invite all riders to come along, see and participate. You want a reminder of what the true meaning of Christmas is....COME RIDE WITH US>>>>

Hi, Friends!!

I wanted you to know that Amy Mitchell-Hargrove is having a very important surgical procedure this morning. Things are pretty serious with the pain she is experiencing and she is praying for help and for an answer to this. Please pray that the surgery will be a success and it will ease the constant pain she has. She has been through so much, yet she has remained in faith and has been patient, knowing in her heart that God has a plan for her.

If you would pray with us, that would be GREAT! Like many of you, we believe in the power of prayer.

Thank you!

Tina

My Dearest Sweetest Forever Friend, Big John

I can only imagine and cry to think, what these two families are going through during this double tragic loss! My heart, thoughts, and prayers truly go out to Nicholas Horn and the young lady's families!

Please, contact me if there is anything at all I can do to help support them!

God bless you, Big John!

Always, Love Gina Jeans

John Cohen.....back in school, you were always one of the nicest guys at McClellan and it looks like you have an even bigger heart than you did then. Thanks for all you do for the residents of the Adult Developement Center. It does change you when you reach out to help someone else and it turns out they help you more. I think they have a direct link to God and he uses them every chance he gets! I have worked with special needs children most of my life and they change me so much and I thought I was there to help them..... I have a cousin who has Down's Syndrome and she is the only one who successfully makes me get my priorities straight! She shows me that life is really simple, we add all the complications to it. The biker culture has a tough guy outside but on the inside all of you have a soft heart with fundraising for less fortunate. I have my own personal biker and I know that soft heart he has! I'm proud of you for finding a great opportunity to help others and getting to enjoy riding that beautiful bike too.
I hope we can make it down to the Haunted House...it sounds great and would be a fun night out with everyone. Otherwise, we may have to ride down on the 13th to ride when you deliver all the gifts to the center... that sounds pretty awesome...

Bendi...Thank You,...but SHHHHHHHHH...I gotta Hollywood Stereotyped Image to uphold...ya know how us bikers are..lol....Your welcome to come down and ride with us anytime...Hell, even if we dont have a ride planned....WE CAN GO FOR A RIDE>..

Sunday as those of you are relaxing, enjoying your day, shopping, going for that Sunday drive....

Close your eyes about 3pm and ride with me for a moment...As DRIFTERS and many other bikers, riders and motorcyclists will be taking an 18 year old for his last ride......We will be escorting him to his final resting place. 18yr old Nicholas Horn was killed as he was riding his MC, a truck turned left in front of him sending him and his passenger to the ground and into the path of an oncoming car...

Why you ask did the truck turn in front of him.....

BECAUSE THEY DIDNT SEE THE MOTORCYCLE......

BULLLLLSHITTTTTTTTTTTT...WAKE UP PEOPLE, TURN OFF YOUR DAMN CELL PHONE, IF THE CALL CANT WAIT..PULLL OVER...DRIVE YOUR CAR STOP MULTI-TASKING....DRIVE..DRIVE..DRIVE...

Tell ya what,.I GOTTA A DEAL YOU CANT PASS UP....
The Next time, someone pulls in front of me, cuts me off, throws their damn cigarette butts out while I am behind them....I am going to calmly ask them...WHY DID YOU DO THAT ??? When the answer is...SORRY< I DIDNT SEE YOU>>> I am gonna draw back and lay one of the biggest fists to their jaw and when asked why I did it...I am going to calmly say....DO YOU SEE ME NOW?????

LOOK TWICE, SAVE A LIFE!!! MOTORCYCLES ARE EVERYWHERE!!!!

Also as you know, even though I am in Alabama this weekend. I am with you in spirit my dear brother.

SONIA>>>>>>>>>>>>
Awwww the look on your face today was priceless, the hugggggsssss even more so wanted than 25 years ago...I really dont think either of us quit smiling ...

As per our conversation on things you enjoyed but dont get to see.........Enjoy...

Poetry fills my mind
and a song fills my heart.
Your smile fills my emptiness,
it pierces me like a dart.

Touch warms my body
and love warms my soul.
Your friendship saved my sanity,
it kept me feeling whole.

Your company means everything,
it brightens every day.
You really mean the world to me,
there's just one thing left to say;
Thank you.

We are down to what, 8 Days til the election. I encourage everyone to go vote, even if it is against the one I will vote for. Let your voices be heard in massive numbers. It just means you care, when you vote. They have already started early voting so no excuses- you have a whole week. Don't be left out of the choices you have available to you.
If you are not sure what will be on the ballot in your area, visit the secretary of state's web site in your state to get the lowdown on the cadidates and memorandums in your locale. Then it should not be overwhelming. It is a priveledge, don't throw it away.
Vote,Vote,Vote,Vote,Vote,Vote,Vote,Vote,Vote,Vote,Vote.

Have a blessed day.

I received the following email from one of our classmates today:

"Very sad news to bring to you all today. Lydia, the wife of Frank Washburn, McClellan's band director during our years, passed away this weekend. If you knew him very well, you know that he truly adored his wife! He is having a very difficult time. She has not experienced bad health, but had a sudden heart attack. Please pray for him and their family."

Wow .. it seems as though much has happened since I've been away from here. I was very sorry to hear about the young motorcyclist and his companion being killed. It is a shame when people put a flipping phone call ahead of someone elses life, I mean, was the call really that important? Pull over, ignore the phone, whatever, but you have to be more attentive when your driving. Its not just your life, but a million other peoples lives, at stake.

I will have to go back up and make notes so I know who all to post too... but everyone having surgery, my thoughts and prayer will be with you. Those who lost someone close, I fell for you and will say a prayer for you. And to those serving overseas, my thoughts and prayers are always with you.

Oh, and I do have a new address for my son now. They finally got the new one, so packages are once again on their way to the troops!

Hey John.... your is just a big ole marshmellow, and you can't hide that fact .. I just wish I could come down for the haunted house! Best of luck to you and may ya'll raise a ton of $$.

Gina .. shout out! How are you!

Cindy....a what???? I prefer to be called a s'more....Cause i am still a hot, hard crusted, soft centered, sweet treat ya just cant get enough of....Sooooooo, in short...BITE ME!!!!!!!

Sorry, i led you to believe that she was on the phone...That was incorrect....

SHE JUST DIDNT SEE THEM.....She saw the car behind them, BUT SHE DIDNT SEE THEM......

So let me add this to your daily read...so ya think your week is rough...think of this...I HAVE LOST 7 PEOPLE THAT I KNOW to auto accidents and motorcycle accidents in the past 3 weeks......What am i leading to with this..

Take that moment that you were gonna complain about the garbage not being taken out by hubby, mad because of your child not getting out of bed in time and making you late or a myriad of other non life threatening reasons to want to start an argument...

WHY NOT TELL THEM HOW MUCH YOU LOVE THEM....

We arent guaranteed how many times we will be able to say I LOVE YOU...why miss a moment and regret that you forgot to say it..

Those who plan on baking/making for our Lions in the sandbox (and this includes Cyndi's son) -- I've heard from Keith and Kim has heard from Kenneth. Cyndi please tell us what stuff Nik wants to receive!

Keith wants: Febreeze, peanut bars, gum (he chews a lot of gum: Big Red, Orbit, Bazooka Bubble gum), wet wipes, M&Ms Dark Chocolate (a man after my own heart...I buy mini M&Ms in the baking section because they're dark chocolate), trail mix, Coffee (any brand), he said any old magazines.

I know the main thing Kenneth wants is Jolly Ranchers.

If you want to pick up any of that in the store - please do. Kim and I would like to STUFF the boxes as full as we can so we'll be happy to pick up from you; or you can drop it off at her place or mine if that's more convenient for you. These boxes are $10.95 to ship, no matter how much they weigh - so let's fill 'em as full as we can.

Tina Skarda Downey - I got mail from you the other day. Thanks, girl! It's on my fridge and I'll let you know how we use it. :)

Tina - any word on Amy's surgery? I have been praying that it went well and she's recovering comfortably.
