Top ten must see in little rock

1. Downtown river area: The river market, Clinton library, pedestrian bridges, submarine. Our downtown area has been revitalized with walking in mind. Take a stroll or ride the trolley and see the new sites.

2. Dickey – Stevens Park: The new home of the Arkansas Travelers. Including a restaurant and family friendly areas.

3. The Big Dam Bridge: You must drive down to Murray lock and dam to take a look. The daring should walk across the Arkansas River to North Little Rock. The full loop from Murray Park to downtown and across to NLR and back along the river thru Burns Park back to Cooks Landing is made to bicycle.

4. Clinton Library: Memorabilia from Bill Clinton Presidency.

5. Old Mill: They are doing construction and you may not get inside to see, but the area and lakes are nice.

6. New malls: We have old malls being torn down and new ones going up everyday. Want more shopping? Head down to the Benton/Bryant corridor or out to Chenal’s new mall being constructed now. The new movie complex with IMAX is now open.

7. Arkansas Arts Center and Douglas MacArthur Park: Nice for looking and playing. The area has a large park with pond and space to run.

8. Pinnacle Mountain and Lake Maumelle: Great green space outside of the city. Short drive with all the conveniences close at hand with quiet areas as well.

9. Little Rock Zoo and the Carousel: Not a BIG city zoo but we like it. The have restored the Carousel that WE used to ride when we young.

10. Le Petite Roche: You have to see the "Little Rock" if you're in Little Rock. It's the city's name sake. Don't worry, it's not out of the way and it won't take you forever to get there. You can see it in Riverfront Park. Check out the map to find the exact location of the marker. Going to visit in the morning of your day here will put you where you need to be for the day.

Wendy Watts (Gretzinger) steve, thanks for all the ideas. now i just have to figure out how to get downtown! i haven't been here in 17 years!!!! it should be fun and i have a tom-tom so at least it can get me home! lol might just lay out by the pool too...depends. i know i need to get out for awhile though. have a great day. cheers!
