I lived by Trey and Mike at the apartments. Mike was always around. He feared nothing. I was on safety patrol at Watson Elementary. Mike was very nasty and mean to Taunya and me one day. I remember just standing there looking at him unable to say anything. Later that evening, Mike came to my apartment with two Dr. Peppers. He offered me one and an apology. By the time we finished the Dr.Peppers we were friends again. He was quite a guy.
Mike was my very first boyfirend in 5th grade, he was a funny guy, and a like everyone else says, a Dare-Devil. He has been thought of by many over the years! Overall just a great guy.
mike was a cool dude i remember him AND MIKE BOYKIN GETTING TO IT ONE DAY IN THE WOODS BEHIND HUNNTING PLACE APT. THEY FOUGHT LIKE CATS AND DOGS.
MIKE WAS HIT BY A CAR ON THE OLD BASELINE ROAD RAILROAD TRACKS IF I REMEBER RIGHT HE WAS PUSHING JOHN BAILY OUT OF THE WAY THAT'S THE KIND OF GUY HE WAS ALL WAYS THINKING OTHER PEOPLE FIRST
Mike was my first boyfriend in 5th grade, also. He was fearless and loving at the same time. In seventh grade he would come by my house and hang out some. He was one good-looking guy. I was excited when he showed up at McClellan. I just never got a chance to talk to him. Thinking about him does put a smile on my face.
We miss you Mike. I remember you coming over late at night and us talking from my bedroom window. I had the biggest crush on you but I married one of your best friends. LOL
And just for the record, he was pushing Keith Mezes out of the way when he was hit. Keith lives by me in Cabot and has a son named after Mike.
i visit mike everytime i go to pine crest. he is right across from my grandfather. he could be a hard one to get to know, but afterwards he was very kind. in the ninth grade, we had civics together, he knew i liked stickers and brought me a sheet of fuzzy stickers one day. i still have them in my sticker book that i have had all this time.
I remember Mike being in my 9th grade Civics Class...and Johnette..i remember him bringing you those stickers that day. I thought that was awesome! I had the biggest crush on him...and later found out he liked my older sister....needless to say I was crushed....Also, I lived on Morris Drive, and we would all go down the the big field by the EZ Mart and play softball on Sunday afternoon, he would come down and play with us....So yes...I agree with all of you...He is diffently missed. After reading all of the comments....I think he touched a little of everyone's life. His friendship was a blessing.
MIKE WAS A GREAT FOOTBALL PLAYER,I REMEMBER HE HAD THE FASTEST TIME IN THE 40 YARD DASH,HE SAID HE WOULD BE THE GREATEST WHITE RUNNINGBACK. HE WAS ALWAYS TICKING OF COACH WILLIAMS (MABLEVALE) AND HAGGING OUT AT COSMIC Q ALWAYS WITH KEYS AND A CHAIN HANGING FROM HIS LEFT POCKET
AND YES MIKE WAS HIT BY A CAR ON BASELINE ROAD DOWN BY FREDS BUT I THOUGHT HE WAS PUSHING KEITH MEZEZ OUT OF THE WAY, ANYWAYS THE GUY WHO DID IT GOT 20YEARS, MIKE WAS REALLY A GREAT TEAMMATE NEIGHBOR AND FRIEND.
I'll never forget you Mike, you were always there for me when I needed a pick-me -up or escape from home. I will always be proud to call you a friend, and yes even though we didn't make it as boyfriend and girlfriend, you turned out to be one of the best friends a girl could ever have. I'm so glad your Mom decided to move behind me!! I miss you more than you'll ever know. I know one day i'll see you again in Heaven. We have alot of catchin up to do!!! I will never forget 3-3-86.
