There were a lot of things going on at home that really influenced my outlook in 1979. I was motivated to finish school and get out so I was in the military almost immediately after graduation. After leaving the military I gave in to my wanderlust and hitched all around the US. I was gone for a little over a year. The one thing I really learned was just how little you need to get by. I began settling down when I met my first wife, Sandra, and when my first child was born it changed me completely.
I've been married and divorced three times. I retired in '02 from Levi-Strauss due to medical reasons. I was an industrial electrician/master mechanic from the time they hired me until I retired. I returned to UALR in '94 and graduated in '98 but I was forced to return to maintenance work for monetary reasons. Besides this I guess my story is pretty much the same as anyone elses. Raising kids (I raised my first three alone) keeping a roof over our heads, just trying to get by.
