Carla Jean Steffan née Moser, passed away at home in Payne Springs, Texas, the morning of Oct. 24, 2023 at the age of 71. Carla was born in Little Rock, Ark., to Thomas and Carolyn Moser Aug. 23, 1952, the eldest of four children.

She had a passion for caring for those in need, especially children and animals. Carla’s artistic talent was on display through any project she chose to pursue. Carla was preceded in death by her parents and brother Anthony (Tony).

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years Robert Steffan, daughters Jennifer Travis and Hannah Kilpatrick, son-in-law Mark Kilpatrick, sisters Maria Hill and Gina DeMoss and grandchildren Nathaniel Travis and Lily Travis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 2, 2023 at St. James on the Lake in Kemp, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, Carla wished that donations be made in her name to your local ASPCA.
