All I can say is that Candida was always the nicest person to me. She was always that way to everyone. Always.

Candida and I got to meet each other in Kindgarten. We always had the same classes thru elementary and some in High School. During Elementary her and Dedee Grigs, Holly Hamby, Kelly Yancey, Kim Burgis would always be together as friends.
Candida was always nice to my family. I also saw her give her life to Christ at Bingham road Baptist Church. Most of the girls above were with her at that revival day.

Candida was my best friend and I love her very much. There is not one childhood memory that I have without her in it. I miss her so much. You guys have said the sweetest things about her and it means the world!!! Thanks for keeping her memory alive with good stuff.

I wanted to put my fondest memories of Candida(I always called her Dida) on here. I had known her since elementary school. I used to run around with her and Dedee Griggs all the way up to high school. The first time I had ever tried a rice crispy treat was when I spent the night at her house one night in elementary school. I had my first ghostly encounter when I was with her another time. And she used to sing Billy Joel's song "It's still rock and roll to me" in elementary.Every time I hear that song I think of her. She used to love to play softball when we were kids too. As we got older, she and Dedee were like two peas in a pod that sometimes would let me in the pod with them. We used to hang out at Put Put golf on Geyer Springs rd, and spent many a night getting into trouble. And we had Cosmetology class together. We used to experiment on each other's hair! But there was also another side that many of you missed. When she found out her oldest child was going to be born with problems, she didn't walk away. She stood up and done her best with him. He was born with a hole in his heart and many other problems. She never gave up on him.She loved him so. And she endured alot of heartache during her marriage. I wish I could turn back the clock and see her again. I would tell her not do alot of things. But I know what she would say. She wouldn't change her course cause she always traveled the path that she wanted and no one else's. If you would like to know, her date of death was June 10,1996. She was killed by her husband that day and it's a day I will never forget for as long as I live.

I had no idea about her passing away. I didn't know her as well as some of you but I had her in a few classes and she was always so sweet. It's so sad she wasn't able to see her kids grow up and that they did not have her in their life.

OMG! How tragic! I had NO idea she died so horrifically! Thanks for sharing that information, I'm sure it was hard for you. The peace is knowing she's no longer suffering and is now resting in the arms of the Lord.
