This is the quote about Gene in our 1965 year book: "In a special sense he has the best eyes in the class in that he sees more of the things that matter than do most boys...nothing superficial about Gene...he has a solid outlook on life and a sincere manner in which to live it...rare person who is both serious and easygoing...one of the hardest workers in the Class of '65."  Well said and wel deserved! RIP.
