A memory of Jeff. We used to go mini-bike riding in back of Ken Caryl Jr High where his backyard backed up against the park. It is now baseball fields, but before those, it was a dirt lot full of trails and jumps for bikes and mini-bikes. He had a Honda XL 75, and I had a Honda SL 70. Ride on in peace Jeff.
I remember taking girls to the Cinderella Twin Drive in his gold Grand Torino. Wow that car was fast and cool. We went skiing several times and he used to pass every car on the way up to Winter Park. By the way his stepson played football for me at Columbine and was our starting safety when we won State in 2000. Jeff was gone by then so he didn't get to share in the victory (at least not in the physical sense). I miss you buddy!
I remember Jeff very well. Actually our dads worked together at Johns Manville in New Jersey and Jeff and I were born only a few weeks apart. Our moms would compare notes on who was doing what first (walking, talking, etc). But I didn't really know him until years later when the company moved to Colorado and we became acquainted. I remember going skiing in that Grand Torino. Jeff had kind of a dry sense of humor at times and was always a decent sort of fellow. Jeff passed away in 1994 just a few days before we moved to Nevada. My parents attended the memorial. Rest in peace, buddy.
I met Jeff in a Science class and he was just so likable, right off the bat. He was the only guy from CHS to ask me out on a date. I was really looking forward to seeing him again. I had no idea he had passed. My sincerest condolences to his family and close friends.
Jeff, You had the coolest car!! Who could ever forget it! It looked like a banana..ha not really but it was loud and cool. Jeff, was a great friend. He'd come over to my house and we'd sit and talk for hours and hours. I knew he was the kind of friend that would do anything for ya. I would bump in to him occassionally at work, and he always had a smile! I will always remember his great friendship! Sherry Scruggs
