I walked to school with TD from the 1st day of 1st Grade right on through High School. More than a best friend, he was my Brother. As kids growing up in Livingston, we discovered the world on our Bikes. We talked about how one day, when we were 'old and in the way', we would sit on a porch in rockers and talk about all of our adventures. From our days at Hillside School, Mt Pleasant JHS, LHS and throughout our careers with the USPS, our lives were on a parallel trajectory. We both got married, had two sons and our lives stayed close.
These days, when I'm sitting on the porch in my rocker and the breeze off of the ocean drifts in a certain direction, the other rocker starts to move back and forth.
